The Söchting Oxydator Solution 4.9% is the original refill solution for the Söchting Oxydator and is specially stabilized and manufactured for exclusive use in Söchting Oxydators. In the Oxydator, the hydrogen peroxide solution reacts in a controlled manner via the catalyst to pure active oxygen, which is continuously released into the aquarium water. The result: significantly increased oxygen content, improved redox potential, and noticeably better water quality – completely without a pump, completely without noise.

Why the 4.9% concentration?

• Ideal for shrimp and nano aquariums: The 4.9% concentration is the most commonly used level for smaller aquariums up to approx. 60 liters – perfect for use in the Söchting Oxydator Mini.
• Gentle, continuous oxygen release: Compared to the 6% or 12% solution, the 4.9% variant reacts somewhat slower – resulting in a longer operating time per fill and less risk for sensitive tanks.
• Improved water quality: Increased oxygen content and enhanced redox potential promote biological filter performance and reduce pollutant levels.
• Original Söchting quality: Specially stabilized formula – only original Söchting solution guarantees flawless operation and full manufacturer's warranty for the Oxydator.

Which concentration for which aquarium?

The Söchting Oxydator Solution is available in four concentrations:
💧 3% – for very sensitive tanks and very slow reaction
💧 4.9% – Standard for nano and shrimp aquariums up to ~60 L (this variant)
💧 6% – for medium to larger aquariums, faster reaction
💧 12% – for large aquariums, for experienced users only

If in doubt, it is better to start with a lower concentration and observe consumption.
