How it all began...
Hello, my name is Nils Crößmann, or as most people know me, Nils from ShrimpPuddle. My aquatics journey began in 2006, initially only with Triops, and shortly thereafter with shrimp and fish. Over the years, this not only grew into more knowledge but a true passion project.
From Hobby to Profession
In 1993, a new aquarist was born into the world, but we won't start quite that far back.
The actual journey began in 2006 with Triops, or rather, prehistoric crustaceans. After a short time, shrimp and fish were added. With each year, knowledge grew, and it became possible to keep and even breed increasingly rare aquarium inhabitants.
In 2016, a YouTube channel was added to share this knowledge in the simplest possible way. The focus increasingly solidified on invertebrates, and that has not changed to this day.
Expert knowledge, genuine long-term experience, practical tests, and a passion for animals, plants, and sustainable solutions in everyday aquatics.
ShrimpPuddle combines a shop, in-house production, community, knowledge transfer, and full dedication to aquatics in a coherent overall concept.

Breeding Forms & Diversity
The shrimp scene is flourishing more than ever. New breeding forms and varieties are appearing almost weekly. This invigorates the hobby and attracts more and more curious aquarists.
ShrimpPuddle also aims to contribute to this and share the fascination for special animals.

Design & Plant Care
Aquascaping has become a huge part of the aquatics scene. Many existing aquarists have become enthusiastic about this specific area.
The combination of design, technology, and plant care makes aquascaping a particularly creative part of the hobby.

Invertebrate Eldorado
Sulawesi is home to countless shrimp, snails, and crabs that have found their way into aquatics over the years. The local nature is simultaneously severely endangered.
Therefore, ShrimpPuddle tries to contribute to the preservation and propagation of various species whenever possible.

Strong Machines, Stable Results
Good printers produce good results. From the very beginning, ShrimpPuddle has worked with Bambu Lab printers. The devices offer high reliability and permanently available spare parts, so that production can run as continuously as possible for you.
At the same time, a lot of time has been invested in finding the ideal printing profiles for fast and high-quality results.

Filaments with high standards
Filament is the material from which a 3D printer creates the finished object, and there are enormous differences here. Over a long period, various filaments have been tested to produce the best product for you.
Only food-safe filaments are used, mostly made from renewable resources such as corn and soy.

Reproducibly Cleanly Manufactured
Producing a printed object once with good quality is not enough. It is crucial that this result can be reliably reproduced again and again.
That is why printing profiles, process control, and hygiene play a major role. The print plates are cleaned with a special food-safe cleaner after each print.
At this point, a big thank you again to my wife, all family members, my IT specialist Marc, friends, and viewers who have supported me in turning my dream into a profession.
