Custom manufacturing at ShrimpPuddle
We plan and produce 3D printing solutions tailored exactly to your requirements – precise, reliable, and scalable.
About ShrimpPuddle
Behind ShrimpPuddle is Nils Crößmann – an aquarist since 2006, with his own YouTube Channel since 2016, specializing in invertebrates: shrimp, crayfish, snails, and crabs. ShrimpPuddle combines a specialty shop, in-house production, community, and knowledge sharing – from our own Moospads, Air-Lift Systems, and Magnetic Tools to selected brands such as GlasGarten, GARNELEN4YOU, SaltyShrimp, and Söchting.
Our 3D-printed aquascaping products are made on Bambu Lab printers using extensively tested, food-safe filaments – mostly derived from renewable raw materials. Reliable print profiles, process control, and build plates that are cleaned with a food-safe cleaner after every print ensure that every part is consistently high quality.
With our SP-Natures range, you can bring Indian almond leaves, nuts and wood into your tank – sources of humic substances and hiding places just like those shrimp, crayfish and snails know from nature. You can find expert knowledge on this in our ShrimpPuddle's Deep Dive guide and in our story.

Shipping is free on orders of €69 or more. You can find all the details about shipping costs, delivery countries, and delivery times in our shipping information.
A moss pad is a flat plastic grid tray into which you place aquarium moss and close the lid. The moss grows through the grid into a dense cushion – completely without glue or thread. There are versions for standing, hanging, and with a magnetic holder.
For beginners, Neocaridina shrimp such as Red Fire or Sakura are ideal: they are hardy, breed well, and can cope with standard tap water. Caridina species such as bee shrimp, on the other hand, require soft water and soil.
A varied main food is best, supplemented with vegetable sticks, leafy greens and mineral feed. Only feed as much as is eaten within 2–3 hours – leftover food fouls the water.
Leaves, alder cones and liquid humic substances recreate the water of natural biotopes. They have a mild germ-inhibiting effect, provide biofilm as a food source and support the vitality of your shrimp.
