⚠️ Safety Notes for Household & Children

Our products are specifically manufactured as functional accessories for aquaristics and are expressly not toys. As we realize very delicate and detailed structures in 3D printing, handling the products requires a certain degree of caution.

🚫 Choking hazard from small parts:
Some of our products contain small parts that can be swallowed due to their design or can break into smaller, sharp-edged pieces under strong mechanical stress (e.g., by falling).

Please always keep all our products and packaging materials out of reach of babies and small children under 3 years of age. Also, make sure that no small parts are left unattended during assembly work on an open aquarium.

🌊 Intended Use in the Aquarium

All our products are designed for continuous use in underwater ecosystems and are ideally suited for freshwater and saltwater aquariums. The plastics we use maintain their structural integrity even after months in water.

Before first use:
Even though we work very cleanly, tiny dust particles can adhere to the material due to the manufacturing process. Rinse each new product thoroughly with clear, lukewarm tap water before placing it in your aquarium. This ensures that no unwanted particles enter your aquarium cycle.

🧬 Material Science & 3D Printing

We manufacture our products using the FDM 3D printing process, where molten plastic is applied layer by layer. We exclusively use high-quality filaments that cure water-neutral after printing and do not release harmful plasticizers.

Benefit for Shrimp (Biofilm):
Due to the layered construction, our products have a slightly ribbed surface structure. A natural biofilm quickly forms on these fine ridges in the aquarium. This serves as an excellent grazing area for dwarf shrimp and snails!

  • PLA & PETG: Very dimensionally stable plastics that react absolutely water-neutral and are ideal for accessories and decorations.
  • PET & TPU: Used by us when components need to be slightly flexible, shock-resistant or durable (e.g., for seals).

🌡️ Care, Cleaning & Temperature Limits

Proper cleaning is essential to prevent damage to your products and avoid contaminating the aquarium water. PLA in particular is heat-sensitive and deforms at temperatures as low as approx. 50°C to 60°C.

  • No boiling water: Never pour boiling or very hot water over the products.
  • No dishwasher: Under no circumstances put the products in the dishwasher. Heat and aggressive tablets destroy the material.
  • No chemicals: Do not use soaps, vinegar cleaners or glass cleaners. These residues are toxic to aquarium inhabitants.
  • Gentle cleaning: For cleaning, only use a soft brush (e.g., a new toothbrush) and some lukewarm tap water to mechanically scrub off algae.

🛡️ Handling Glass Components

Some of our products are supplied in combination with glass components. Glass is a delicate material that requires special care during assembly, cleaning, and daily use.

  • Risk of breakage and injury: Glass can shatter if dropped, hit, or subjected to excessive pressure. Please handle it with care to avoid cuts from sharp edges.
  • Regular inspection: Check all glass parts for fine cracks or chips before each use. Even small damages can lead to breakage under pressure.
  • Safe replacement: Defective glass parts must no longer be used in the aquarium. Dispose of damaged glass safely immediately.

🧲 Safety Notes for Neodymium Magnets

Some of our mounting systems use extremely strong neodymium magnets. These magnets require special caution during handling.

⚠️ Important medical notice:
Strong magnetic fields can affect or interfere with the function of pacemakers and implanted defibrillators. Individuals with such devices must maintain a safe distance.

  • Danger to electronics: Keep magnets away from smartphones, laptops, credit cards, and magnetic data carriers.
  • Pinching hazard: The enormous attractive force can painfully pinch skin or fingers.
  • Splintering hazard: Neodymium magnets are brittle. If they collide unchecked, they can break or chip.

♻️ Disposal & Environmental Protection

"To protect the environment, please do not dispose of this product with household waste."

Please dispose of the product at a collection point for plastic waste or appropriate recycling systems in accordance with local waste disposal regulations. By disposing of it properly, you are making an important contribution to conserving natural resources and preserving our environment.
