SP-Vuka Wood
Delicate cactus wood as a natural shelter & humic substance source!
Bring a fascinating piece of desert nature into your nano tank or breeding setup: The SP-Vuka Wood in the slim, 150 mm long version is a beautiful, purely natural hiding place for your aquarium inhabitants. Originally originating from the Mexican to Brazilian region, this wood is something very special – it does not come from a classic tree, but from the dried skeleton of a cactus. With its characteristic gray-brown color, fine hole structure, and irregular shape, it adds exceptional, rustic accents to any aquascape.
Your benefits at a glance:
- Natural shelter: The net-like lattice structure of the cactus wood offers countless small caves, passages, and safe retreats, ideally suited to the needs of shrimp, freshly hatched offspring, and dwarf crayfish.
-
Gentle humic substance source: The Vuka wood releases important humic substances into the water over a long period. These support molting, strengthen the immune system of your invertebrates, and promote the biological balance in the tank.
(Note: Humic substances can lead to a biologically valuable and completely harmless, amber-colored water tint.) - Premium quality: Our Vuka wood is completely untreated and was specially dried gently to guarantee maximum purity and absolute safety for your sensitive aquarium inhabitants.
💡 Important application note (Soaking):
Since it is a pure natural product, the Vuka wood should be pre-soaked in a suitable container for at least 2-3 days before use in the aquarium. Please change the water daily during this time. Saturating the tissue prevents it from floating in the tank and washes out initial excess tannins.
