The GARNELEN4YOU® Alder Cones from the black alder (Alnus glutinosa) are a proven natural product for shrimp and nano aquariums. When soaked, they release bioactive compounds such as humic acids, tannins, phenylpropanoids, and flavonoids into the water, which naturally lower the pH value, inhibit pathogenic bacteria and fungi, and naturally condition the aquarium water. At the same time, they offer shrimp, crayfish, and snails a valuable surface for growth and grazing. Collected from unspoiled forest regions in Southern Germany – a product of the biologist and shrimp breeder Dr. Philipp T. Baumann.

What alder cones do for your aquarium:

Application tip:

1 alder cone per 10–30 liters of aquarium water, depending on size. It is better to add several cones to the tank at different times to influence the pH value evenly. For therapeutic or preventive purposes, a multiple can also be used under pH control. The slight brown discoloration of the water is completely normal and desired – it indicates that the bioactive ingredients are being released.
