The GARNELEN4YOU® Planty Sticks are the plant-based main food in the GARNELEN4YOU concept and form a balanced duo for daily nutrition together with the Carny Sticks. 14 carefully selected ingredients – including nettle, dandelion, spirulina, mulberry leaves, and Hokkaido pumpkin – provide a wide spectrum of natural carotenoids, vitamins, minerals, and secondary plant compounds. Grain-free, without fish meal, and without chemical additives. Developed by biologist and shrimp breeder Dr. Philipp T. Baumann.
14 ingredients, one powerful effect:
- Natural carotenoids & vitamins: Hokkaido, spinach, and spirulina provide B, C, E, and K vitamins, as well as natural color boosters for vibrant shrimp coloration.
- Secondary plant compounds: Tannins, terpenoids, flavonoids, and humic acids from dandelion, plantain, and walnut leaves strengthen the immune system and overall vitality.
- Minerals & trace elements: Calcium, magnesium, and potassium support shell formation, molting, and metabolism.
- Plant protein & fiber: Nettle and barley grass provide valuable amino acids and fiber for healthy digestion.
- Flexible feeding concept: By alternating with Carny Sticks (animal-based), you can precisely and appropriately control the protein ratio for your shrimp according to their needs.
Recommended feeding rotation:

🦐 Neocaridina: Rotate Carny Sticks, Planty Sticks & Neo Algae Sticks in a 3-way rotation
This way, your feeding plan optimally covers both animal- and plant-based nutritional needs – for healthy, colorful shrimp and maximum breeding success.
Feeding recommendation:
2–3 times per week approx. 1 cm of stick per 20 (large) shrimp. Only feed as much as is consumed within a few hours. Feed in alternation with the Carny Sticks (for Neocaridina, additionally feed Neo Algae Sticks).
