The ceramic cup is one of the most important components in the Söchting Oxydator Mini. It holds the catalyst in place and, through its pore structure, controls the reaction rate at which the H₂O₂ solution is converted into active oxygen. A damaged or heavily soiled ceramic means an uncontrolled reaction – this original replacement cup reliably restores normal operation.
Why the ceramic cup is so important:
- Reaction control: The ceramic's pore structure regulates how quickly the solution reacts with the catalyst. If it is clogged or damaged, oxygen production becomes unbalanced.
- Heat-resistant and aquarium-safe: Specially manufactured for continuous use in freshwater aquariums – no release of harmful substances, no reaction with the solution.

Care Tip:
Rinse the ceramic cup with clear, lukewarm water during each solution change and clean it carefully with a soft brush. Limescale and mineral deposits can clog the pores. Never use cleaning agents or vinegar – this will destroy the ceramic structure and render the cup unusable.
