Long-awaited and finally here: The SP Outflow Skimmer is the ultimate upgrade for your Aquael Pat Mini filter. Even in well-established aquariums, an annoying biofilm or an unsightly oil film often forms on the water surface, hindering important gas exchange. Instead of constantly reaching for paper towels or buying an expensive, bulky additional filter, you can now simply upgrade your existing Pat Mini. The innovative outflow principle ensures a clean surface and maximum safety in nano tanks.

• 100% Baby Shrimp Safe thanks to the Outflow Principle: Unlike classic skimmers, this attachment sits at the *pump outlet* of the filter. This offers the unbeatable advantage that curious shrimp offspring or tiny fish can never end up in the rotating impeller (pump wheel). An absolute revolution for breeding tanks!
• Effective combat against biofilm & surface scum: The self-adjusting float continuously removes dust, biofilms, and residues from the surface. The water is immediately cleaned, and light penetration for your plants is noticeably improved.
• Includes practical extension tube: Maximum flexibility in setup! Depending on how deep your filter is placed in the aquarium, the enclosed extension tube ensures perfect adaptation to the water level.

💡 Important Application & Adjustment Tips:

Filter Setting: For ideal, smooth operation, the adjustment valve of the Pat Mini should be at least 60% open. The wider the valve is open, the better the skimmer works. However, maximum opening can lead to slight air bubbles (bubbling) in the outlet.

Order for new models: For newer filter generations, it is recommended to first set the flow valve to the desired strength and then attach the skimmer.

Duckweed Warning: We advise against using this outflow skimmer in aquariums with heavy duckweed growth (Lemna minor). The floating mini-plants can very quickly clog the fine slots of the float and impair its function.
